SC Villa was in the lead as the Azam Uganda Premier League action resumed Friday evening. They beat Sadolin paints 2 : 1 at Nakivubo stadium.

This was SC Villa's consecutive win in the league after defeating Police 1 : 0 early this week on Tuesday at Kavumba recreation ground.

Godfrey Lwesibawa took the lead for SC Villa before Mike Sserumaga doubled it for the Jogoos. Nasser Muzamir scored a consolation for Sadolin paints.

The win helped SC Villa to move from the sixth to fifth position at 44 points, six above ninth placed Sadolin Paints.

KCCA FC tops the league at 55 points, four points above second placed Vipers.

The Lugogo side only needs a win in their last two games to crown champions of the league.
