Bishop's are now leading Group C, which has holders St. Mary's Kitende. Despite the win, coach William Kyeswa said his boys need to improve their attitude after conceding two "reckless goals".

Alele's goal scorer Mahad admitted that "our opponents were a better team than us".

‘GAME WAS FAIR'

Meanwhile, in the Masaka v Amuria game, Abdul Nkwata scored the only goal in the first half to give Masaka a narrow victory.

Their head coach Meddle Serwadda said "the game was fair, but we did not play to our expectations as East African champions."

His opposite, Amuria's Moses Okodo, said his midfielders who were not aggressive enough. "We should have gotten a point."

In the other game, Kibuli and Buddo could only play out a draw. Peter Muwonge tapped home five minutes before the break to give Buddo a deserved lead.

But they could not hold on as after a heated half-time pep talk in the Kibuli camp, Steven Mukwaya managed to find the equalizer ten minutes into the second half.
