Nakaseke Secondary School beat Kabale Brainstorm High School 3-1 on Monday in the ongoing national post primary football championship in Soroti.

Kenneth Kasiro scored the opener for Nakaseke through a free kick in the 8th minute of the game before Samuel kalumba added on the tally in the 16th minute to make it 2-0.

Nakaseke dominated the first half but let Christopher Isagala pull one back for Kabale Brainstorm 12 minutes after the interval.

Kabale Brainstorm made continuous attacks in the second half but they faced a resilient defense.

They were the dominant side in the second half but squandered several opportunities.

But five minutes to the end of the game, all but ended the game as a contest with a third from the spot after Kasiro was brought down in the box.

Reactions

William Kikonyogo, Kabale Brainstorm head coach: "My players lack experience since for most of them, it's their first time to come for this tournament."

His opposite, Timothy Iga, praised the boys for the team spirit they showed up and congratulated them upon winning the game. "We undermined the team in the second half and that's why the game was difficult for us in the end."
