Miya signs three-year contact with Standard Liege

Uganda Cranes star Farouk Miya has signed a three -year contract  with Beligian giants Standard Liege.

At the start of this year, Standard de Liège reached an agreement with club Vipers SC to sign Miya on loan for sh1.3b($400.000) with option for a permamnent transfer. He loan deal was worth sh1.3b.

Miya made 49 appearances for Vipers, scoring 20 goals.

The former Kampala Junior Team player was last year voted  the  best male footballer of the year at FUFA awards following a successful campaign with his club in the Azam Uganda Premier League . He has also scored thirteen goals for the national team.
