Cardinal Wamala ordains Ugandan capuchin priest

During a function that was graced by a number of Capuchin priests working in Uganda, Wamala thanked the Christians for supporting their priests.
A Ugandan member of the Catholic Religious Order of Franciscan Capuchin Missionaries, Rev. Fr. Francis Ssekulima was on Saturday May 7 ordained a priest at St. Kizito Catholic parish, Kibiri, in Masajja Division, Wakiso district.
During a function that was graced by a number of Capuchin priests working in Uganda, Wamala thanked the Christians for supporting their priests.
He later asked Fr. Ssekulima to serve God with total faith, love and dedication, without being distracted by the materialistic world.
Cardinal Wamala later turned to the newly elected politicians, both in NRM and the opposition parties, to work together for the peace and prosperity of the country.
He also asked the politicians not to discriminate against the people on the basis of their tribal, political or religious affiliation, but to exercise fairness and justice in all their actions, for the common good of all Ugandans.
The Superiour of the Capuchin Missionaries in Uganda, Fr. Godwin Ogam appointed Sekulima to Mirembe Seminary in Mityana, where he will also be the Vicar of the Capuchin Community.
Fr. Ssekulima is the son of Mary Namaganda and Lawrence Mwanje of Masajja.
