Outgoing Mbarara district chairman warns on land grabbing

Some pieces of land have been a target for grabbers

The outgoing Mbarara district chairman Deus Tumusiime Omuteganda has warned the incoming Mbarara council to be on the look-out for people who want to grab government land.

According to Tumusiime, there are many wrong elements who have been trying to steal government land in the district but they have been unsuccessful because the outgoing council and administration has kept a keen eye on them.

He explained that some pieces of land that have been a target for grabbers include government land near the former Ankole King palace at Kamukuzi Hill, the works yard in Rwebikona, the land near the veterinary offices in Mbarara town, land at Kashari county headquarters in Bwizibwera and land opposite Kakyeka Stadium.
