A record of 60 teams are expected in Soroti

Kitende coach Richard Wasswa has vowed that his team has the capacity to retain the COPA Coca-Cola title in the national finals due in Teso College Aloet in Soroti.

"As defending champions, we are set for the challenge. I have no worries, my team is OK," said Wasswa who doubles as the national U20 coach.

Another victory will give them their 9th title, equaling Kibuli SS' record of wins in the coveted secondary schools soccer showpiece.

"When you win in Wakiso region chances are high. I believe we have a big potential to retain the title" vowed Wasswa.

They won the district title after beating St. Juliana Gayaza 2-1 to retain the Wakiso region final and now boast of a new dynamic midfield that includes Bunjo, Frank ‘Saga' Tumwesigye and Ashraf Bamuturaki.

Kitende who beat Masaka SS 4-0 in the final in Hoima last year will rely on Pius Wanji and Francis Onekalit in the goal hunt.
