Rotary district celebrates achievements

The assembly which will run from May 4th to 7th aims to celebrate the services that the district has given to communities in the year 2015/2016.


District 9211 which covers Uganda, and Tanzania is celebrating the gift of giving at the 91st district conference and assembly happening at the Imperial resort beach hotel in Entebbe.

The assembly which will run from May 4th to 7th  aims to celebrate the services that the district has given to communities in the year 2015/2016.

According to a statement from the Rotary club, some of these activities include; construction of a cancer center at Nsambya hospital, construction of Uganda's second blood bank and construction of the rotary hospital in Ngadu- Mukono with a traumatology center.

Others are immunization of over 5000 children against polio which was done in partnership with the ministry of health and the creation of 700 youth through humble business startups.

Some of the speakers expected to address the conference are Dr. James Mwanji the CEO and chairman Equity bank, Ray K, PLO Lumumba of Kenya Law school, Geeta Manek (past district guvnor Rotary district 9200),  Robert Kabushenga (CEO  vision group) and Amos Wekesa (CEO Great lakes safaris).

Rotary will also avail free medical services to the families along Entebbe road on 7th May through the family health day.
