Ssebuguzi targets victory in Masaka

Ssebuguzi the Nile Special USPA rally driver of the year 2014 told New Vision online that his focus is staying on top of the table standings.

The crew of Ronald Ssebuguzi and Leon Ssenyange in a Mitsubishi EvoX is targeting the top three finish in Masaka on Saturday and Sunday to keep on top of the National rally championship table standings.

Ssebuguzi the Nile Special USPA rally driver of the year 2014, told New Vision that he targets to keep on top of the table.


"The guys have powerful machines but we shall also open up and see that we are among the top three finishers," Ssebuguzi stated.

The Masaka rally is the third round of the seven National Rally Championships (NRC) and all top drivers are eyeing a win to increase their chances of taking this year's NRC crown.

The two-time NRC champion (2012, 2013) who won the Gorilla in the mist rally last month Jas Mangat, Duncan Kikankane Mubiru, other NRC champions Arthur Blick Jr., Dr.Ahmed Ashraf (2008) and Nasser Mutebi (2010) will be battling for a win in Masaka.

Others to watch are: Christakis Fitidis, Kuku Ranjit ,Omar Mayanja, Desh Kananura (Evo X), Ambrose Byona,Musa Kabega (Evo 9).

They will cover a total distance of 377.8Km of which 178km will be competitive and 190km transport.
