Six family heads arrested in Kibaale for not having pit latrines

The Kyaterekera sub-county health authorities headed by sub county chairman Dan Kabwijamu arrested the culprits during an impromptu supervision in the area.

Kibaale - Six family heads in Katerera, Kyaterekera Sub County in Kibaale district have been arrested for having no pit latrines at their homes. They together with their families have been allegedly easing themselves in the bush.

The Kyaterekera sub-county health authorities headed by sub county chairman Dan Kabwijamu arrested the culprits during an impromptu supervision in the area.

Those arrested include John Twesige, Charles Ngabirano, Moses Twekambe, Joseph Mwebaze, Peter Kwesiga and Andrew Akampulira.

Kabwijamu, the sub county chairman says the culprits are to be charged under the health act for putting the lives of the community at a risk of a cholera outbreak.

He explains that the 6 were arrested after failing to heed to warnings for over 2 months.
