Daffodils are national swimming champions

The Bugolobi school scored 2,004 points to win this year’s event at Rainbow International School.

Daffodils are the new Midland National Primary School swimming champions.

The Bugolobi school scored 2,004 points to win this year’s event at Rainbow International School, Saturday.

Daffodils led an entry of eight schools in the one day annual competition organized by Uganda Swimming Federation.

Greenhill Academy finished second while Kampala Parents were third. Seeta High and Kampala Junior were were fourth and fifth respectively.

The event just like in the inaugural competition was sponsored by Midland Group.

Midland Group Director Drashna Kotecha promised more support for next year’s event.  “I thank the swimming federation for a job well done. I also thank all the competitors and parents who turned up to support the children.”

Midland Group, who are into electronics, real estate, dairy farming, forex and education, have previously also sponsored golf and polo.
