Besigye charged, granted bail

Former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential candidate Dr. Kizza besigye has been charged at Kasangati Magistrate Court with illegal assembly.

The opposition politician was released on a cash bail of sh2m.

Besigye presented two sureties, including Ingrid Turinawe.

The FDC stalwart is said to have willfully disobeyed SSP Daniel Bamuzibire, alongside others still at large.

Court heard that this was on April 5 April between Kasangati and Mulago in Kampala.
