Kabaka Mutebi marks 61 years

He was born on April 13, 1955 at Mulago hospital to Ssekabaka Muteesa II and Sarah Kisosonkole of the Nkima clan.

Kabaka Ronald Mutebi II Wednesday April 13 marks 61 years. The main celebrations are taking place at Budo, in Wakiso district.

At the time of his birth, his father Edward Muteesa II was in exile in Britain at the beginning of the political unrest in Uganda.

He was born on April 13, 1955 at Mulago hospital to Ssekabaka Muteesa II and Sarah Kisosonkole of the Nkima clan.

Mutebi took over the throne in1993 and still rules up to today.

He returned to the country in 1986 after 20 years to take up his cultural responsibilities as a traditional leader of his Kingdom.

On 31st July 1993, His Majesty was enthroned as the 36th King of Buganda.
