A 26 year old woman is in police custody in Bweyale town council Kiryandongo district for allegedly hacking her son with a panga.
Agness Aweku, a resident of Agobo West in central ward was arrested on Tuesday.
She allegedly cut her three year old son on the head leaving him with severe injuries.
A police officer at Bweyale police post said Aweku was arrested by LCs, who handed over her to police following a tip by her neighbour.
The officer who requested for anonymity said they suspect Aweku hacked the child as a result of a domestic misunderstanding with her husband.
He said they have launched investigations into the incident.
