Youth under the Employment Service Bureau (ESB) Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) programs have been advised to work towards their intended goals.

The youth, mainly university graduates, were encouraged to always focus on what they want rather than being misled by worldly pleasures.

The advise was given to them during a forum organized by KCCA in partnership with the Youth African Leadership Initiative (YALI) under the theme Investing in Women and Girls.

In her remarks the former executive, Uganda Investment Authority ( UIA), Prof. Maggie Kigozi told the youth to always start small and focus on growing their business.

"All the wealthy people in the city did not start big. If you listen to their stories you will be surprised how they started," Kigozi told the over thirty youth who congregated at the KCCA- ESB office in Nakasero Hill.

She warned youth who crave  for luxurious parties.

"Do not demand for parties from your families. Organize a family business instead," Kigozi said.

She cited the proprietors of Victorious Education Centre who started in a house and have now over four branches inside and outside Kampala.

The YALI brings 500 African leaders, ages 25-35, from across the continent to the United States for 6 weeks of leadership training and mentoring at twenty U.S. universities and colleges in three areas of business and entrepreneurship, civic engagement and public administration.
