Mugagga and his co-accused were arrested on Monday morning from various places around Kampala

Andy Mugagga, is among Forum Democratic Party (FDC), youth activists who were arrested by police for allegedly inciting violence in the city recently.

Mugagga is among the party youth who have been campaigned for presidential candidate, Kizza Besigye during the just concluded general elections. However Besigye lost the elections to President Yoweri Museveni.

However, a police source confirmed that Mugagga is among the youths who were arrested and transferred to Nagalama police for fear that they would incite violence in the city.

"Some of those opposition youth have an agenda of interrupting normal life and causing violence in city center. So we have carried out what is called preventive arrest and taken them outside the city," the source said.

Mugagga and his co-accused were arrested on Monday morning from various places around Kampala. Mugagga once worked in Iraq as security officer before returning home.

"Mugaga was arrested by the security agents. They threw him in jail with another colleague, Albert Ssebide without producing them in courts of laws," he said.
No charges have been preferred against him.
