Illegal firearms recovered in Amuria

An illegal gun has been recovered in Orapak village in Morungatuny Sub County, Amuria district.

The AK47 gun found without any amuunition was recovered by a security team from Morungatuny in a thorny bush where it was being concealed by an unknown person.

Vincent Etolu, the chairperson of Morungatuny who is also the security head of the Sub County expressed unhappiness over the practice of keeping illegal guns by some residents.

According to him, some suspects whose names were withheld for security reasons have been arrested to help police carry out investigations.
