Soigi said NIC are a winning team

Champions National Insurance Company (NIC) are still strong enough to win titles despite losing some of their best players who left the club in search of greener pastures during the transfer season that ended last month.

Martha Soigi, the newly appointed captain said her team is ready to continue moulding young players in a bid to recover from the gaps left in the team after losing five of their players during the transfers.

"We are a winning team and we shall always be no matter the situations," Soigi said after leading the team to its 21st National Netball Rally title over the weekend in Masindi.

They beat Police 16-11 and KCC 21-16 before walloping home team Masindi Club 45-1 to finish top of the table with 6 points, two points ahead of Police in second position followed by KCCA at 2pts in third.

Meanwhile Ndejje University finished with 12 points winning the Institutes category.

Nakirebe took the primary schools category with 12points while St. Mary's Kitende beat Exodus 20-19 to the secondary schools title.
