A penalty by Kevin Makmot handed Ezee Money Rhinos a 3-0 win over Black Pirates on Friday keeping their Nile Special Premier Rugby League hopes of a top three finish alive.

The tight game that had no tries lived to its billings and fans for the first time didn't have any complaints about the referee but blamed their respective players for mistakes.

The win handed Rhinos 4 points to tally 29 points staying in the fourth position, 7 points behind Pirates who got a bonus point for losing below 7 point margin to tally 36 points.

Pirates team coach Anthony Kinene attributed the defeat to laxity and poor decision making.

"It was a tough game but we just didn't play right especially in decision making, execution and also poor kicking," Kinene stated after the game.

However, his Rhinos counterpart Herbert Wafula said, "We played badly but a win is a win and we shall take it."

Both teams exhibited poor kicking, ball handling and discipline as they conceded several penalties.
