Multiplex phases out old parking tickets

According to Simon Peter Nyeko, the MUL public relations officer, phasing out of old tickets happens annually as a security measure or to prevent forgery.
Multiplex Uganda Limited (MUL) has said car owners that park in the city will starting mid-April be expected to procure new parking tickets, following a phase out exercise of the old ones.
MUL manages street parking in Kampala city on behalf of Kampala Capital City Authority.
In an advert that run in today's New Vision, samples of old tickets are shown in blue and purple colours.
According to Simon Peter Nyeko, the MUL public relations officer, phasing out of old tickets happens annually as a security measure or to prevent forgery.
"We advise those with the old tickets to use them before the above dates or exchange them for new ones between 16 April and 31 May in any of our outlets," Nyeko said.
