COMPANY PROFILE:

Security Group Uganda Limited is one of the leading and most innovative organization in the security industry. The company has realized the need to recruit competent persons in the following positions to be based at its head office in Kampala.

1. ACCOUNTANT (01)

The suitable candidate will be reporting to the Chief Accountant.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Day to day accounting functions and maintenance of the general ledger.

KEY RESULT AREAS:

• Maintain and advise on internal controls as per company policies

• Ensure all statutory contributions are correctly calculated and remitted

• Supervision of all company reconciliations including bank, petty cash, debtors

• Ensure accurate records of sales, expenses, and payroll costs

• Ensure expenditure control is maintained to present budgets

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A degree in Accounting or Finance

• At least CPA Part II would be an added advantage.

• At least 3 years' experience in busy accounting environment and preferably service industry.

• Hands-on experience in Tax (VAT, PAVE, Withholding Tax, Standard Levy & Income Tax) and audit is an added advantage.

• Hands-on experience and knowledge in implementing stock control procedures

OTHER SKILLS

• Good presentation skills

• Confidentiality and high integrity

• Ability to work with minimum supervision

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Good client relations

• Computer literate

2. ASSISTANT CREDIT CONTROLLER (01)

The suitable candidate will be reporting to the Head of Credit Control.

KEY RESULT AREAS:

• Collect from customers amounts due

• Customer account reconciliation

• Supervision of debt collectors

• Handling of client's correspondences

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A degree in Accounting or Finance

• At least CPA Part I would be an added advantage.

• At least 3 years' experience in busy accounting environment and preferably service industry.

• Hands-on experience in audit is an added advantage.

• Good presentation skills

• Confidentiality and high integrity

• Stress tolerant

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Good client relations/customer care skills

• Computer literate
