Police parade suspected Kampala hit men

Police has arrested six suspected contract killers in Kampala in an operation.
According to police spokesperson Fred Enanga, the suspects are former rebels who were granted amnesty by the government.
They were arrested in an operation was mounted in parts of Kampala and Wakiso dsitricts.
The suspects are accused carrying out several hits in the city since November last year. They were found with guns, ammunition and ski masks.
High profile killings
There have been a number of high profile killings in the country recently and have been linked to contract killers.
In March 2015, state prosecutor Joan Kagezi was gunned down in Kiwatule while Sheikh Ibrahim Hassan Kirya became the ninth Muslim cleric to be gunned down in similar way.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Gen Kale Kayihura at the time cited contract killers to be the perpetrators.
