Netherlands-based Ugandan prize fighter Farouk Daku has got an opportunity for a world title fight when he contests for the Benelux super middleweight title this month.

The Ugandan gets the challenge on his hands when he takes on Nieky Holzkem of Belgium on February 20 in Helmond, Netherlands.

The Benelux is a title that unifies both champions of Belgium and Netherlands. The winner will be lined up for a world title.

The fight comes at a prime time for Daku who beat Jozsef Karmony of Hungary to capture the World Boxing Forum (WBF) super middleweight title on Saturday in last month.

To the Ugandan southpaw, the fight opens a wide door for opportunities for him to scale the heights in ranking as well as earn bigger title call ups.

"I feel good. I believe I am in good shape to win this title. This is a good opportunity that can help me climb higher in ranking" Daku said on phone.

Daku is currently ranked 181 on the World Boxing Forum (WBF) while his opponent is ranked 99.

After a unanimous victory over Jozsef, the Ugandan stretched his fight record to 20 wins in 31 fights, 19, 9 knockouts and two draws.

"So far the training is good. I am working hard to see that I take this title. I know my opponent is good. I am sure it will be a good fight," added Daku.

The WBF is the second title for Daku who earlier on beat Tanzania's Saidi Mberwa to snatch the Africa Boxing Union title in April last year.
