Gor Mahia to play SC Villa in friendly match

Kenyan premier league club Gor Mahia football club arrives in Kampala on Tuesday to play a friendly match against SC Villa at Nakivubo Stadium on Wednesday.

SC Villa Chief Executive Officer Ivan Kakembo confirmed the friendly saying the match is meant to prepare the Jogoos for their CAF Confederations Cup engagements.

SC Villa will play Sudan's Khartoum Al Watani FC away in CAF Confederations Cup on February 13. The club is also using the friendly to raise funds to enable it to compete in the CAF Cup.

Uganda Cranes midfielder Khalid Aucho is expected to man the Gor Mahia midfield as he returns to play at Nakivubo Stadium for the first time in years.

Midfielders: Coliins Okoth, Eric Ochieng, Khalid Aucho, Ronald Omino, Ali Abondo, Innocent Wafula, Godfrey Walusimbi, Eric Ouma, Amos Nondi, Edmond Murai, Francis Kahata, James Ogada, Ernest Wendo.
