Biraaro believes only FPU can eradicate corruption by changing the constitution that he said encourages the vice

The Farmers Party of Uganda (FPU) presidential candidate, Retired Major General, Benon Biraaro has promised to improve health service delivery by supplying enough drugs in government hospitals and health centers in Lango.

He said the National Resistance Movement (NRM) government has nothing to offer the people of Uganda and every one should only trust FPU.

"If you want lies vote NRM, and if you want violence vote any of Uganda People's Congress (UPC), Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) or Democratic Party (DP)," Biraaro said while addressing a series of campaign rallies in Lira district on Friday.

Biraaro warned people against voting for UPC because Jimmy Akena still has a serious battle with Olara Otunu on party presidency, Erias Lukwago battling DP's Norbert Mao and FDC's Kizza Besigye is always causing commotion on Kampala's streets. This he said qualifies FPU as the only party to lead Uganda.

He added that only FPU can eradicate corruption by changing the constitution that he said encourages the vice

On agriculture, Biraaro promised to supply farmers with free seeds, tractors, fertilizers and other agricultural inputs to enable peasant farmers earn enough profits from their farm products.

"My government will end the land grabbing in this region and other regions of Uganda by legalizing the community lands and it's the committee within government that will do this not surveyors such that the land benefits the local people" he said.

Improvement of education standards and road systems, revamping cassava factories and Lira spinning mill as well as introduction of farmers loans were among Biraaro's promises to Lango sub region.

Biraaro approached the campaign venues in unique style as the Lira Youth Brass Band entertained residents before he would address the rallies dominated by children aged between 7 and 15 years.
