Apac DPC Alfonse Ojangole confirmed the incident and said he had sent detectives to the scene and had no further details.

Extrajudicial killings were very rampant last year with over 50 cases reported to police.

The then Regional Police Commander (RPC) North Kyoga region, Rufino Okot Obwona while handing over office to his deputy after retiring from the force condemned the spate of the killings in the region and called on the community to respect the law.

In almost all cases of extrajudicial killings, no arrests are made, and the files are just closed and put away.

Okot Obwona said people should not be taking people's lives at will, but rather have suspects arrested and prosecuted since there are all the organs of government working in the region.
