Fideli Oroo sustained serious burns around the private parts and buttocks

Fideli Oroo, 46, an NRM parish registrar is nursing serious burns at a clinic in Loro, Oyam district after he was scalded by his wife and mother of his six children in extreme case of domestic violence. 


Oroo is also the chairperson village youth council and a member of the Village Health Team (VHT).


Sources said the woman identified as Brenda Adongo, 42, boiled water mixed with cooking oil and poured it on her unsuspecting husband who was lying on their matrimonial bed.

 

Oroo sustained serious burns around the private parts and buttocks and was taken to Everest Clinic for treatment.


The motive for the attack is still unknown but a source said the woman has always complained that Oroo was cozy with other women. 


The incident happened on Saturday evening at Dogaomonalong Village, Acaba Sub County, Oyam district. Adongo was arrested and taken to Loro Police Station from where she was on Sunday evening transferred to Oyam Central Police Station.


Oyam DPC Waiswa Najib said he was not aware of the incident as he had not been at the station.

 

Boniface Okwir, a cousin to the victim confirmed the report saying the injuries sustained are serious. He said the private parts and buttocks are scalded.
