FUFA warns clubs over banned Kabenge

Former Express FC chairman Kavuma Kabenge's ambitions to return to leadership of the club appears to hit a snag after FUFA cautioned that it will punish anyone transacting any football related business with the city lawyer.

Kabenge is serving an 11 year ban until 16th January 2023.

FUFA Chief Executive Officer Edgar Watson said in a communication that making contact with persons serving football bans leads to sanctions by the FUFA Ethics Committee.

FUFA has explained that its decision follows complaints from owners of the Express FC where Kabenge was the boss before the ban.

Express has reportedly ordered its employees, managers, officials, coaches and players to keep away from Kabenge or they will also face sanctions.

Taking advantage of management gaps at Express FC, Kabenge has been trying to convince the club fans and players to give him a second at the helm of the club.

FUFA on February 16, 2012 banned then Uganda Super League (USL) chairman Kavuma Kabenge for 11years for forgery, putting football in disrepute and failure to comply with FUFA disciplinary committee.
