Government has given Kampala Archdiocese an extra six months within which to continue selling raffle tickets so as to collect money for developing the Uganda Martyrs shrines.

"People responsible will continue calling the lucky winners. Don't abuse them. Some have started calling them ‘bafere' (conmen), but they will be looking for you after winning something through the draw," Ssebunnya said.

He said that winners during mini draws are getting official souvenir DVD's of the Uganda Martyrs story, the Pope's visit, T-shirts and souvenir magazines.Archbishop Lwanga said the project for renovation of the Catholic shrine at Namugongo is still ongoing. He called upon Ugandans to continue buying tickets to win prizes including the car.

"I gave out my Mercedes Benz which was donated to me by one of my friends for raffle draw to fundraise for the renovation. The car is still there in parking yard at Lubaga, not at my residence but at the offices waiting for the lucky winner," he said.

Lwanga also hailed President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the government, Vision Group CEO Robert Kabushenga and the entire Vision Group for their contribution towards the cause.
