Micho drops six players from the CHAN team

Uganda takes on Mali in their opening fixture of Group D on January 19

Uganda Cranes coach Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic has dropped six players ahead of the Africa Nations Championship scheduled for January 16th to February 7th in Kigali, Rwanda.

Edrisa Lubega, Yeseri Waib, Karim Ndugwa,Timothy Musinguzi, Rahmat Ssenfuka and Ibrahim Kiyemba were  not part  of  the  26 players  that  left for camp at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.

Cranes play Gabon on January 10 and Cameroon on January 13 at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru as part of preparationse for the tournament.

Uganda takes on Mali in their opening fixture of Group D on January 19, three days later they entertain Zambia.

The African Nations Championship is a biennial football tournament organised by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) exclusively featuring players from the respective national championships. A total of 16 teams are expected to participate in the fourth edition of the tournament.
