THE NRM parliamentary caucus chairperson and Eastern Youth MP, Peter Ogwang, says that the stolen sh100m was his personal money and not from the NRM party secretariat.

Ogwang has also pinned his body guard and two vehicle mechanics for conniving to steal the money.

“It is true they robbed my money. The body guard and two mechanics are in custody,” he said.

Ogwang told New Vision that the money is question was part of his savings that he had mobilised to beef up his 2016 campaign.

He is eyeing Usuk County, which is currently represented by another youthful lawmaker, Proscovia Alengot.

Ogwang, who has pitched camp in Usuk County to prepare for the October 26 NRM party primaries said that police has promised to track the money.

The MP said the money was stolen on transit to Usuk.
