The Anti-corruption Court has this Monday afternoon convicted John Kashaka, the interdicted permanent secretary, ministry of local government, for causing financial loss to government after he misappropriated sh4b meant for LC bicycles

The Anti-corruption Court has this Monday afternoon convicted John Kashaka, the interdicted permanent secretary, ministry of local government, for causing financial loss to government after he misappropriated sh4b meant for LC bicycles.
Justice Catherine Bamugemeire who delivered the judgement said that prosecution presented sufficient evidence hence the judgement.
Court also found out that the ITEL company which was awarded the contract to supply the bicycles was non existent and their directors were conmen.
Kashaka is accused with five others; Henry Bamutura, Robert Mwebaze, Sam Emorut, Timothy Musherure and Adam Aluma who were all officials in the ministry.
