KCCA FC coach George Nsimbe is looking at the CECAFA Kagame Cup to beef up his Curriculum Vitae at the regional level.

Nsimbe won his first title at the Mapinduzi Cup in Zanzibar last January and said Sunday that his target is to add the CECAFA Kagame Cup to his CV this year.

The Ugandan champions are grouped with APR of Rwanda, Flambeau De L'est from Burundi, Kenya’s Gor Mahia and Telcom of Djibouti.

Nsimbe has said that Gor Mahia FC will not be an issue in his ambitions to win Group B of the CECAFA Kagame Cup next month.

After the draws on Friday, Nsimbe said that his only worry in the group lies with Rwandan champions APR, whose approach to football matches today is unfamiliar to him.

"I believe our group is tough but Gor Mahia is not a problem to me. I have been watching the Kenyan league on TV and I know how to confront them. APR is the problem because you know clubs have evolved their approach to playing," Nsimbe said.

Draws for the 40th edition of CECAFA-Kagame Club Cup Championship were made in Kigali on Friday with 14 clubs to compete. The two week annual championships roll off at Amahoro and Nyamirambo Stadia on August 8th and will conclude on 24th.

Rwandan President Paul Kagame who is also the patron of CECAFA has already committed $60,000 in prize money. The fixtures and time schedules will be released next week. Burundi's Vital'O are the champions.
