Museveni in Arusha for EAC Summit

President Yoweri Museveni is in Arusha, Tanzania to attend the 12th Extraordinary Summit of the East African Community (EAC) Heads of State and Government.

The one-day Summit that is going to take place at the Arusha International Conference Centre, will review the implementation of the recommendations agreed upon in the last Summit.

President Museveni was received on arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport by Senior Tanzanian Government officials.

Others at the airport included the minister of trade, industry and co-operatives, Amelia Kyambadde, the Speaker of the East African Legislative Assembly Margaret Zziwa, state minister for East African Community affairs, Shem Bagaine, state minister for regional cooperation Asuman Kiyingi and deputy secretary general of East African Community in charge of Productive and Social Sectors, Jessica Eriyo among others.
