President Museveni meets Turkish investors

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni received a group of Turkish investors who called on him at State House Nakasero on Saturday.

ENTEBBE - Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni received a group of Turkish investors who called on him at State House Nakasero on Saturday.

During the meeting, Rusan Dundar, who is the board chairman of Toscano Company, said he was interested in manufacturing agricultural machinery in Uganda.

He said he would boost mechanized farming in the country.

The chairman told Museveni of his readiness to engage in massive production of maize and adding value to the product.

The group was accompanied by the minister of agriculture, animal industry and fisheries, Tress Buchanayandi.

Part of the team was the chairman of Uganda Global Business Association, Alper Bayazit, and the Association’s secretary Lokman Cinar.

Bayazit told the president that they were constructing a plastic recycling plant in Nansana and that it is expected to be operational in two months’ time.

On his part, Museveni welcomed the Turkish investors to Uganda and pledged government’s support of their ventures.
