What is the Minibuzz?

Minibuzz is a highly successful, popular and unique TV programme.

It is an educational and entertaining current affairs programme that prompts national debate by giving spontaneously selected Ugandan commuters, a free ride in a mobile TV station in a matatu/minibus to their destination. During their ride, they discuss the topics of the day (Kyogereko).

Every month, the Minibuzz transports hundreds of people to their destinations around Kampala and rural regions to share their views with Ugandans nationwide.

According to research by Afropinions in 2013, 71% of Minibuzz viewers ‘really like’ the show, and 76% ‘continue to discuss the topics of the day’ after the show and ‘take action’. Indeed, 24,000 people on Minibuzz Uganda’s Facebook and Twitter pages corroborate the show’s strong impact.
