Boda boda cyclist killed in Ntungamo, bike taken

Police in Ntungamo are hunting for unknown thugs who hacked to death a boda boda cyclist and took off with his motorcycle.

NTUNGAMO - Police in Ntungamo are hunting for unknown thugs who hacked to death a boda boda cyclist and took off with his motorcycle.


The District Police Commander, Baker Kahonaho, identified the deceased as Godfrey Kakyonkya a resident of Nyaburiza in Kahunga.

According to Police, the Kakyonkya was ambushed on his way home in Nyaburiza. The thugs emerged from a bush, stopped him and slit him with a knife. They dumped his body on the road side.

The residents found Kakyonkya’s body in a bush near the road where he was murdered from.

The DPC Kahonaho condemned the incident and vowed to hunt the assailants.

Ntungamo district boda boda association chairman, Reuben Mwesigwa appealed to police to tighten security in the area.
