Rev. Canon Naimanhye new bishop of Busoga diocese

The Rev. Canon Paul Moses Samson Naimanhye was elected by the House of Bishops of the Church of Uganda to be the next bishop of Busoga diocese.

The Rev. Canon Paul Moses Samson Naimanhye was elected by the House of Bishops of the Church of Uganda to be the next bishop of Busoga diocese.

The election took place on July 31, 2015 during the House of Bishops meeting at Lweza Training and Conference Centre.
Bishop Naimanhye will succeed the Rt. Rev. Dr. Michael Kyomya, who will retire in January 2016.

Rev. Canon Paul Naimanhye was born on December 24, 1960 and he is married to Florence Lydia Naimanhye; they have three children.

Bishop Naimanhye holds a bachelor’s degree in divinity from Uganda Christian University, a provincial certificate int, and a diploma in business administration. 
He is currently serving as the dean of Christ’s Cathedral, Bugembe, in Busoga Diocese.

The consecration and enthronement will take place on January 24, 2016 at Christ’s Cathedral, Bugembe.
