KAMPALA - After a seemingly endless vetting of the contestants at Hotel Africana Friday evening, Namala Mabel was chosen out of the 16 girls that made it to the final of Miss Tourism Buganda.

The girls were unveiled at about 9:30pm local time to a packed auditorium.

What followed was a grueling, but exciting ride in which the girls had to perform traditional Buganda self-introduction.

They also had to showcase different fashion styles and the talents they had. Some talents, though, didn’t make quite a mark and most of the girls opted to sing to their best abilities.

A few of them did spoken word in Luganda which excited the audience.
