Vision Group’s fifth BRIDE & GROOM expo, Uganda’s leading exhibition, is set to take place from August 2 to 4, at the new UMA exhibition hall.

The event brings together East Africa’s top wedding service providers to showcase the latest trends in the wedding industry.

The expo gives intending couples an opportunity to plan their wedding in one day. It also gives exhibitors a chance to meet thousands of potential clients.

According to the Bride & Groom editor, Cynthia Nankumba, countless testimonies have been received from happy exhibitors and show goers since August last year, when the last expo was held.

“This year’s expo will feature two fashion shows daily with the latest designs of wedding gowns and evening dresses from top local and international couture designers, as well as the latest men’s suits and lingerie.”

The guests will have access to workshops on marital issues, family planning as well as make up sessions, all at an entrance fee of only sh5,000, from 9:00am to 8:00pm.

Last year’s expo attracted about 6,000 guests and over 70 service providers. One couple, Pamela and Solomon Bulemu were able to plan their wedding in one day, in September 2012.

“We were able to pull off a classy wedding in a short time because we found all the service providers at the expo,” said Pamela.

Exhibitors can choose between the prime booth which costs sh1.4m and the semi-prime booth which goes for sh1.18m.
