It got from bad to worse for team Uganda on day-two at the on-going All Africa Junior golf championships taking place at the Lusaka golf club in Zambia.

The Ugandans who opened with 249 gross on the first day of the championship could not improve on their day-one scores, returning 252 on the second day to slip from 6th to 7th position on the standings.

Despite Richard Baguma and Herman Mutebi replicating their day-one scores of 80 and 86 respectively and Hassan Kiyemba improving  his day-one score of 92 by five strokes (86), it could not help their cause as improving Tunisia displaced them on the standings.

Captain Daniel Baguma had the worst outing on the day returning 89, six strokes worse than his first day's 83.

Defending champion's South Africa maintained their top position improving their day one gross total by a stroke (217) to widen their chances of retaining the championship.

South Africa's Keegan De Lange returned the best score of the day, 69 gross, with Marco Steyn and Dylan Naidoo both carding 74 to maintain their superiority in the annual championship.

After the day-two action Zimbabwe remained second with a total gross score of 466, which is 31 strokes off the leaders while hosts Zambia is third with 471 and  Kenya who dropped from third are now fourth at 477.
