Sheebah takes Katikkiro 'down low' at Kabaka's dinner

It took the irresistible club banger Down Low to get guests, led by Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga, to their feet and storm the dance floor to show off their skills at the royal grand dinner at Twekobe palace in Lubiri-Mengo

It took the irresistible club banger, Down Low, to get guests, led by Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga, to their feet and storm the dance floor to show off their skills
at the royal grand dinner at Twekobe palace in Lubiri-Mengo.

Guests had largely shied away from the dance floor and just kept waving their hands while seated. But when songstress Sheeba Karungi and Pius Mayanja aka Pallaso took to the stage with their 'Down Low' hit, all caution was thrown to the wind as guests shot off their seats.

The Katikkiro mustered all his energy, surprising his subjects when he took on Sheeba with 'Down Low' strokes.

The hit, a favourite with regular club goers was too irresisitable the likes of Emmanuel Kantongole of Quality Chemicals, Prince David Wassajja and Godfrey Kirumira followed suit.

Selected local musicians such as Julina Kanyomozi, Bobi Wine, Eddy Kenzo, Geoffrey Lutaaya, Irene Namatovu, Dr.
Hilderman and Rema Namakula kept on entertaining guests as they dinned and toasted wines in celebration of the birthday of Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi.

The dinner was organized by a group of Buganda monarch royalists headed by businessman Kirumira.

The Kabaka was accompanied by the Nnabagereka, Sylvia Nagginda who cooly waved at the musicians and nodded from time to time in appreciation of the melodies.

The other people at the high table were Vice President Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi, Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga and the King of Toro, Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru.

In a brief speech, Mayiga thanked Airtel and Vision Group for sponsoring the events to commemorate Kabaka’s birthday in style.
