Nkumba University football team expect to consolidate their brilliant start in the Nile Special University Football League with another straight win when they travel to Kampala University at Villa Park on Tuesday.

Nkumba is the only team that has scored three goals in the 2015 season so far after they beat Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) 3-1 last week.

Coach Patrick Ssebuliba will look up to experienced Faisal Muwawu, Robert Kaweesi and Douglas Muganga for the goals. The trio helped Nkumba recover from a goal down to win 3-1 in their season opener in Entebbe.

“We respect Kampala University because they gave us a tough game when we last met at Villa Park. But Villa Park is like a home ground for us, thus victory is inevitable,” Sebuliba said.

The last time the two sides met Nkumba needed the last minute of the match to win.

Kampala University is yet to win a match. Their season opener at Kyambogo was really a struggle for both the players and coach Vincent Tumusiime.

“We lost at Kyambogo but we have since sat down to identify the problems. We are going to focus on our attack and I don’t see us losing again,” Tumusiime said.

Makerere University football team fans are the happiest after they tamed Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) 2-1 in Mbarara last Friday.

Makerere ignored a heavy down pour to come from a goal down to beat MUST 2-1. MUST had taken the lead with a six minutes' penalty courtesy of Eric Okurut.
