Legendary British RnB musician Billie Ocean jetted in the country Wednesday night, 11:30pm to be precise, ahead of his show at the Black Tie concert for today at Kampala Serena Hotel.

The singer, together with his 16-man band, flew in aboard British Airways before being whisked away from the airport by their hosts from Master's Music moments after resting in the VIP Lounge.

Popular for '80s songs like "Caribbean Queen" and "When The Going Gets Tough," the jovial Ocean promised to deliver a fine performance tonight in the 90-minute time set by the show's organizer.

"This is not my first time in Africa but I only promise to have great time performing in Uganda. We are all going to have a superb time tomorrow," he said.

Ocean is also firm believer in the Rastafarian movement that he said draws him closer to Jesus and when one of his band members was asked if fans should brace for some reggae in his setlist tonight, David, a saxophonist promised Ocean will do some reggae in his performance.

Ocean will perform from 9:00pm all through the night  but the Serena doors will be open by 7:00pm. The concert is organized by Masters music, Play Lotto, British Airways and others.
