The Buganda Kingdom Premier (Katikiro) Charles Peter Mayiga is to continue with his work without fear irrespective of emerging voices against his fundraising project commonly known as Etofali.

Mayiga told Buganda Lukiiko (Parliament) at Bulange Mengo Monday that words can not deter him from his work. He said more money is needed and people contribute out of passion for their Kabaka.

"I am doing it again until what we want to do has been completed. We still have many other projects to work on," he added.

The Kingdom intends to construct a hosiptal in future among other projects after the completion of Kasubi and Wamala tombs.

Mayiga boasted of having completed Masengere which had stalled for the last 40 years. He asked all Buganda officials to stay focused and avoid being diverted.

He said they are also going to review all the Kingdom projects to see what has been implemented and forge a way forward.

Katikiro also announced Kyaggwe as the best performing county in a recent Kingdom survey.

"The judges looked at different aspects like land issues, protection of environment and promoting Kabaka's agenda among others," he said.

The best country is to be awarded by Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi during the kingdom local government day celebration in Kyaggwe, slated for May 30.

It was followed by Kyadondo, Ssingo, Mawokota, Bugerere, Buwekula, Mawogola, Gomba, Kabula, Buddu, Busiro, Kooki, Buruli, Sesse, Buvuma and Bulemezi .

The Kingdom also plans to start awarding the best progressing farmers.
