National sports associations and federations have taken advantage of the delayed ruling over their compliance with NCS requirements,  to complete the registration process.

Cycling, athletics and the hockey associations are among the sports bodies that were at NCS offices at Lugogo before heading for an impromptu meeting with Uganda Olympic Committee.

The federations and association leaders were seen streaming into National Council of Sports General secretary Japser Aligawesa’s office to submit their papers.

Many of the federations who are also members of Uganda Olympic Committee are due to meet the committee president William Blick for a briefing on how to handle the discrepancy instead of the on-going tag-of-war between them and NCS.

Aligwesa confirmed that association leaders had rushed to his office either to find out what they should do to comply with the rule or what is left for them to do to be declared compliant.

“Those who are ready to seek help on how to go through the process are welcome. But let me first go for meeting where we hope to come up with something conclusive,” Aligawesa said.
