It really should say this was a cruel game that neither team should have been allowed to endure.

Both Uganda and Canada were relegated to Division 3 a day prior to their Saturday meeting and the most humane thing would have been to just let both teams catch the earliest flight back home.

But rules are rules and Uganda’s victory will go down as a real victory in an official ICC tournament. Beyond that there is nothing to it.

That it helped Uganda finish second-last rather than last may be notable to some but who really wants to be the best relegated side?

Perhaps neither did Uganda nor Canada but in the event the Cricket Cranes breezed through the matchup with a combined assault with ball and bat.
