An American citizen, Frank Wood,  threw cops at Katwe Police station in panic when he demanded that cops immediately mount a search for his daughter whom he claims was stolen by her mother from caretakers.

Wood stormed the Police Thursday morning demanding that they trace for Mariam Nalubega whom he accuses of disappearing with his little girl, Shanon Maira.

Shanon is a Top Class pupil at Better View Nursery & Primary in Namasuba on Entebbe Road. She is expected to join primary one next academic year.

A police officer, (ASP) Jan Yasumin told Bukedde newspaper that Shanon was snatched from the home of Najibu Boro, her caretaker who resides at Church Zone in Kabowa.

Yasumin said Shanon was snatched on Monday afternoon from Boro’s home as she played with her friends.

Nalubega is said to have abandoned the little girl when she was eleven months old because Wood would restrict her from partying. Boro assumed custodianship following a court ruling granting him and his wife as foster parents.

Yasumin said though Nalubega is the biological mother she has no right to snatch her from her lawful parents.

A criminal case of kidnap has been recorded on file number SD Ref: 62/01/01/2013. The Police are currently hunting for Nalubega like a needle in a haystack.
