The Ugandan, a film that hinges on a story about Asians entangled in relationships in the wake of their expulsion in 1972, will premier in Boston, USA early next week.

The film, which won the best narrative feature fi lm category at this year’s Silicon Valley African Film festival in California, will be shown at Embassy Cinema Theatre, 16 Pine St, Waltham.

The film features among others, Patrick Sekyaya, Halima Namakula and former Miss Uganda Dora Mwima. It is expected to draw huge crowds since Boston is home to many Ugandans.

Alvin Kasule, the film producer, also says others in attendance will be the Waltham Mayor, Jeanette McCarthy, Hollywood’s Forest Whittaker, Nollywood’s Van Vicker plus Miss Ghyslaine Tchouaga the reigning Miss Africa USA.

The red carpet Kampala premier is slated for early next year.
