KIU v MUBS

Kyambogo football team will have to put recent occurrences in the Super Six University Football League behind them and win to get back into contention today.

Kyambogo will look to team top scorers Joseph Adriko, Mahad Kiseka and Ismail Edu to revive their image in the league.

However, both Nkozi and Kyambogo will come off defeats in their earlier matches. Nkozi lost their latest game 5-1 to Makerere while Kyambogo did lose 2-1 to MUBS. Kyambogo won their first leg encounter with Nkozi 3-1 and Daudi Ssana can only hope for another win with a bigger margin today.

With leaders Makerere (16points) and second placed Nkumba (15points) the competition will be narrowed to a two horse race, if Kyambogo (11points) fail to tame Nkozi away to narrow their gap with the front runners.

Meanwhile Kansanga based KIU denied Nkumba the chance to return to the top of the league when they held the Entebbe side to a goalless draw at their own backyard on Friday.

And after the game went on uninterrupted, the organisers of the league appear to implicate Kyambogo for chaotic scenes during their earlier games with Nkumba, MUBS and Makerere universities respectively.
